Founded
in 1986, PROTOTYPES is one of the nation's leading multi-service, non-profit
agencies that helps women and their families who are dealing with complex
problems such as substance abuse, mental illness, HIV/AIDS, homelessness,
domestic violence and other trauma, and lack of life skills. PROTOTYPES
offers a wide range of programs throughout Southern California that
reach more than 15,000 women and their families each year.
In
2006, PROTOTYPES celebrated its 20th year of service.
Clients come
to PROTOTYPES in need and are empowered to become strong, healthy, productive,
and independent members of their communities. The work of PROTOTYPES
takes place in 24 locations from Pomona to Ventura, and from Hollywood
to South Los Angeles.
