Position Title:  Psychiatrist

Under Supervision Of:  Project Director

Specific Responsibilities: The Psychiatrist is responsible for providing psychiatric assessment and treatment to juveniles (ages 16 - 25) being served by Project Youth Embrace (PYE), a re-entry program for youth returning to the community from custody. The qualified individual will work within a multi-disciplinary environment to provide psychiatric assessment, evaluation, medication assessment and management, and consultation for PYE clients. Other duties includes: case consultation, participation in interdisciplinary case conferences, and clinical supervision as needed. The Psychiatrist will work with youth throughout the Project's three sites (South LA, Pomona, and Downtown).

Qualifications: 
Licensed Psychiatrist; California Medical License; Board Certified in Psychiatry required. Experience with at-risk juveniles and co-occurring disorders is a must. Experience with juvenile criminal justice system is a plus.
