Prototypes' Residential Program in Oxnard

Prototypes’ residential treatment programs are designed to help women recover from drug and/or alcohol addiction through a comprehensive program of services and support. We provide a caring and nurturing environment that prepares clients to live healthy, self-sustaining lives.

We offer a range of programs and services to meet every woman’s unique needs regardless of her current life situation. Some women are at the beginning of their journey to recovery and in need of a detoxification program. Others are in need of long- or short-term residential programs. Still others are able to continue working or going to school while they get the help they need.

Individualized Programs and Services

The first step toward recovery is developing a program that specifically addresses a woman’s individual circumstances. We work with our clients to determine which of our services – individual and group counseling, psychiatric referrals, vocational and educational rehabilitation, parenting classes, recreational activities and other support services – will best serve her particular needs.

We know that women are often the sole providers and caretakers for their children. Our programs are designed to accommodate women who choose to come to Prototypes individually as well as those who choose to include their children in the recovery process.

Prototypes is dedicated to providing quality treatment services that are affordable and accessible to everyone.

Our Locations

Prototypes has locations across Southern California, serving clients in Los Angeles, Orange and Ventura Counties.

Pomona Women’s Center
Our Pomona campus offers comprehensive, holistic residential services. A cornerstone of the Pomona program is that children are allowed to accompany their mothers to treatment so they, too, can benefit from mental health counseling and prevention programs. We provide quality client care that includes treatment for both substance abuse and mental health disorders. We also provide medical referrals and interventions, and offer an array of life-skills education classes focused on parenting, employment, and secondary and advanced education. We also offer group counseling for extended family members, when appropriate, as well as childcare services.

Pomona – Transitional and Permanent Housing
Our Pomona campus includes a 32-unit affordable housing complex, the S. Mark Taper Foundation Family Living Center, for low-income, single-parent families. The facility is adjacent to the Prototypes Outpatient Behavioral Health clinic. We provide case management and counseling services to all families living within the complex.

Oxnard Women’s Center
Our Oxnard campus is located in a peaceful, home-like setting, an environment that our clients find ideal for self-healing and rebuilding their lives. Through our holistic approach, we tailor treatment plans to meet the needs of the clients we serve. Besides providing treatment for substance abuse, we also provide psychological counseling, parenting classes, vocational and educational training, domestic violence and trauma-informed services, medical and psychiatric referrals, case management, educational support services and services for children.

Tustin Family Campus
Our Tustin Family Campus is a residential program for families affected by substance abuse. The family-centered program focuses on healthy parenting while addressing other issues that affect the entire family. The program sequentially covers three fundamental phases that are seamlessly introduced throughout residency: an emphasis on sobriety, an emphasis on parenting skills, and an emphasis on life-skills training and self-sufficiency. As many as 15 women and 37 children can be accommodated at any one time at our Tustin Family Campus Mother and Child Residential Homes.

STAR House: Confidential Transitional Domestic Violence Shelter
