Vice President of Prototypes
Eli Veitzer joined Prototypes in 2015 and is charged with the oversight of program operations while contributing to the development and attainment of the organization’s strategic goals. Mr. Veitzer comes to Prototypes following 15 years in executive leadership roles at Jewish Family Service of Los Angeles. As Director of Administration at JFSLA from 2000 to 2010, Mr. Veitzer was responsible for human resources, IT, quality improvement, risk management and real estate/facilities management. In 2010, Mr. Veitzer assumed the position of Director of Strategic Initiatives and Business Development, in which he led initiatives integrating JFSLA’s social services with the healthcare delivery system. In this role as well, Mr. Veitzer oversaw development of new programming and the development and successful launch of a social enterprise home care agency. Mr. Veitzer received his bachelor’s degree in development studies from Brown University.
April Wilson, MSW, CATC
Vice President, Residential
April Wilson has worked in the field of behavioral health since 1991 and has extensive experience developing programs specifically designed for women. Ms. Wilson applies her expertise toward ensuring the provision of high-quality, integrated services in Prototypes' residential treatment programs while also overseeing projects targeted at vital future state initiatives. Ms. Wilson received her bachelor’s degree in sociology from Pitzer College and her master’s degree in social work from California State University, San Bernardino.
Nial Stimson, CAS
Vice President, Business Development
A former clinical case manager and counselor, Nial Stimson has extensive experience working with individuals overcoming substance use disorders. In his role, he ensures that families and individuals throughout Southern California have access to services at Prototypes and Resolve Recovery. Mr. Stimson also develops strategic partnerships within the behavioral health field to provide the best network of care to individuals in need of addiction and mental health treatment. He has served in similar roles for the past 15 years at Clearview Treatment, Inc., Hythiam, Inc., Mission Community Hospital and Daniel Freeman Hospital. Mr. Stimson received his Addiction Specialist Certification (CAS) from Mission College.
Director of Development
Amy Carlton joined Prototypes in 2015 and oversees fundraising initiatives for the organization. Before joining Prototypes, she served for seven years as Associate Director of Development and Director of Prospect Research & Management at Whittier College. Ms. Carlton has an extensive nonprofit background, serving in various capacities within development including major gifts, prospect research, special events, database administration and capital campaigns. Ms. Carlton demonstrated her expertise with highly successful campaigns in her previous positions at Pacific Symphony, the Aquarium of the Pacific and the East Bay SPCA. She studied business administration at the University of California, Berkeley, and brings a creative approach to fundraising initiatives, with wide-ranging experience developing strong relations with donors.
